Illinois Hire the Future 
Overview:
Illinois Hire the Future facilitates the transition of high school students to adulthood and the workplace. The program provides students with exposure to the workplace environment including an understanding of work requirements and education and skills needed. The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) pre-screens students and refers them to participating employers based on the student's compatibility with the job requirements (e.g., hours, minimum qualifications, etc.), Employers choose whether to hire students who are referred. Positions may be full or part-time, year round or seasonal. No wage subsidy or other financial assistance is provided by IDES.
